My dad just passed away from mesothelioma in Feb of this year. He was 72. He had worked in the oil fields all of his life and the pipelines. It's suspected he was exposed from brake pads on the rigs and in the pipelines themselves. It was very difficult to see him suffer the way he did the last 6 months of his life. He was only expected to live 3 months after his diagnosis, but he held on so he could see all his kids. This is a terrible disease. He suffered greatly and all because he worked to support his family for 40 years.
